Musical Postcards

Technology hey? Who would of thought that you can now play music that is printed on postcards. Who would have thought it? Well UK based agency, Uniform... that's who! They have utilised the emerging technology of 'printed electronics' which invloves printing basic electronic circuits and componenets onto a surface with conductive inks that enable the user to interact with the data, information and services. The postcards that Uniform have created are "unique, low cost pieces of music that can be docked in a Postcard Player, where users can control the playback by pressing buttons printed on the postcards." The 'Postcard Player' is currently on show as part of the Design Museum's Designs of the Year show. Found here.
