Cube Tube

It may be a really trivial thing, but I know that I have fallen victim to the slow shuffle from the sink to the freezer with a freshly filled up ice cube tray, trying desperately to keep it level to prevent the downpour of water all over the floor. Well now they are making a product called the Cube Tube that you fill up and close at the sink and toss it in the freezer, spill-free. It also has a silicon base that enables you to hit it against a counter (or something hard) to loosen the cubes. Then you just pull the insert out to dispense. Simple, effective, and it looks particularly space efficient too. Found here.
