Coffee Joulies are a new invention by Dave and Dave that work with your coffee to achieve two things. They have been specifically made so that once placed in your coffee mug, either before or after coffee has been poured in, they absorb the excess heat that normally makes coffee undrinkable due to the heat. After these Joulies have captured the heat and energy, they then maintain a certain level of that heat as a release back into the cup, therefore keeping the coffee at the optimum drinking temperature for longer. Basically this concept widens the comfortable coffee drinking temperature, enabling you to start drinking quicker and for longer. I'm not sure about the size of them and that you have to put three in each cup. This looks like it would displace a lot of the liquid you were hoping to drink in the first place, but I suppose if you look at how much liquid you would be pouring down the sink when it gets too cold, it would probably even itself out.
