Working in partnership with Sylvie Pierru, a snailfarmer in Picardie (France), Manuel Jouvin has created packaging made from snail poo. The project is called Dejection-Moulding and the resulting packaging is used to contain cooked snails: so, Jouvin’s dyed snail excrement cases really bring the whole process full circle. He encourages the snails before they are cooked to eat coloured paper, which actually changes the color of their feces.
