Yan Lu is a Chinese designer/engineer based in London. Fascinated by the relations between objects and human beings, Yan creates objects that reflect our environmentally conscious modern world. His work offers awareness about real things like where the toilet paper came from, how much heat energy is emitted from a lightbulb (shown with a wax lampshade) and how much water you are actually using to wash your hands (the aim is not to kill the live fish inside the bowl). Have a look at more of his work on his website. Found here.
